Croton Petra 12-14'' 6'' pot
Croton petra is a common tropical houseplant with bright green leaves with white, bronze, purple or pink coloring based on the age and maturity of the plant. Adequate light is an important factor in their care, and if proper lighting is taken into consideration, croton petra can last for years. Caring for croton petra is relatively easy, but they do require regular maintenance in order to thrive.
Step 1
Place your potted croton petra in an area of your home that receives full sun and minimal shade. Croton petra thrives in well-lit areas, but do not place the plant in direct sunlight.
Step 2
Maintain a moderate temperature between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit in the room where you display your croton petra. Temperatures higher than 80 degrees Fahrenheit may cause the croton petra to wilt and dry out.
Step 3
Allow the soil to dry out before watering. When watering, do not over-water, as it will cause the leaves to yellow and possibly rot. Water slowly, allowing the moisture to soak into the soil, and stop before a pool forms on the top of the soil.
Step 4
Fertilize once a month with a low-nitrogen, water-soluble fertilizer. Do not fertilize during the winter months.
Step 5
Promote bushiness in mature croton petra plants by pruning the plant back where leaf joints appear.

Begonia Santa Barbara White 5''
Gleaming white parachute-shaped blooms, 2 inches long, cascade from the trailing stems of this handsome heat- and drought-tolerant Begonia. It flowers nonstop, complementing all surrounding colors. Let its big, wide open blooms dazzle you as the olive-green foliage tumbles from containers of all kinds, spills over walls and terraces, and fills available space with rich living color!
This trailing Begonia is an exciting choice for any climate, especially hot, long-summer areas that have stressed other Begonias. With blooms from spring until frost, its pure white blooms are borne by the many, many dozen on this lush, mounding trailer. The bloom season begins in late spring in most areas and continues throughout summer and fall, halting only when the plant is nipped back by frost.
Santa Barbara would be good-looking even if it never flowered, though. The leaves are large, arrow-shaped, and neatly serrated, with pronounced, uniform veins that make them look almost pleated. Dark green and very abundant, they add a tropical look to this annual plant.
Set this Begonia in full sun in cool climates, but give it a bit of afternoon shade farther south and west. It is primarily known for its heat tolerance, but given a little pampering in spring, it is quite resistant to drought, too. And you'll love how quickly it bounces back from rainstorms and wind!
