Sugar Baby is the most popular ‘Icebox’ type of watermelon. Fruits mature to be 18-20 cm (7-8") in diameter and weigh 3.5-4.5 kg (8-10 lbs.) each. It is the perfect size for a family treat. Sunrise has orange skins that are streaked with bright gold. They are strikingly beautiful, but also boast tremendous sweet flavour. The texture is succulent and the small cherry fruits are resistant to cracking. The Bumble Bee series will work in a 5 gallon (or larger) container, but be sure to keep the vines well picked so they keep producing right through late summer. The large fruits are creamy yellow when mature. This is a trailing winter squash with cylindrical shaped fruit 25-30 cm (10-12") long and 18 cm (7") in diameter. Boil or bake the fruit until skin can be pierced with a fork. Cut open and remove the seeds, then scrape out the inside to discover the pasta like strands.

An All-American Selection! This popular, exceptionally productive variety of summer squash bears fruits that can be eaten when 10-30 cm (4-12?) long. The thick, fine-grained flesh is tender and delicious. Pick when 10-18 cm (4-7?) for best flavor. Tip: Squash are over-mature if the skin cannot be easily punctured by your thumbnail. Pick regularly so squash will continue to form.

One of the very best winter squash varieties. Flesh is deep golden yellow, fine grained, thick, dry and sweet. Turban-shaped outside with a rind that is hard, green and flecked with grey stripes. Produces fruit 10 x 15 cm (4" x 6"). Soil should be rich and well-drained. Harvest after the first frost or when the skin begins to turn orange when touching the soil. Generous watering is required if weather is dry.

Very popular variety that produces for a long time. Glossy, dark green, thick textured, crinkled leaves are rich in Iron. Sow to bolt and go to seed. This cool weather vegetable is easy to grow in rich, well-drained soil. Best growth occurs in spring and fall SO be sure to do a second sowing in late summer for a fall crop. Requires plenty of moisture.

This French heirloom dates back to 1866. This huge spinach can grow up to 60cm (24") in diameter, with 20cm (8") crisp, dark green leaves.
