Ornamental Features
Crimson Sentry Norway Maple has attractive burgundy foliage throughout the season. The lobed leaves are highly ornamental and turn an outstanding deep purple in the fall. It is clothed in stunning corymbs of lemon yellow flowers along the branches in early spring before the leaves. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.
Landscape Attributes
Crimson Sentry Norway Maple is a dense deciduous tree with a distinctive and refined pyramidal form. Its relatively coarse texture can be used to stand it apart from other landscape plants with finer foliage.
This is a relatively low maintenance tree, and should not require much pruning, except when necessary, such as to remove dieback. It has no significant negative characteristics.
