Common Name: Tickseed This floriferous new Coreopsis forms a full, sturdy, upright clump of dark green, threadleaf foliage topped with white flowers with a vibrant raspberry red eye. They first appear in midsummer and continue through early fall without deadheading, with the raspberry color expanding to cover most of the flower’s petal surface in cooler temperatures. ‘Berry Chiffon’ is sterile, so it won’t seed around the garden and its foliage is very resistant to powdery mildew so you won’t need to spray it with anything to keep it looking great all season long. Common Name: Yellow Corydalis Everything about this perennial is dainty and refined. Fresh green, fern-like leaves are held in softly falling tiers, resembling the fronds of Maiden-Hair Fern. Beginning in late spring, clusters of light yellow to rich gold flowers, somewhat like those of the fringed bleeding heart, hover just above the foliage. Aurora™ Blue Delphinium will grow to be about 4 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 20 inches. When grown in masses or used as a bedding plant, individual plants should be spaced approximately 18 inches apart. It tends to be leggy, with a typical clearance of 1 foot from the ground, and should be underplanted with lower-growing perennials. The flower stalks can be weak and so it may require staking in exposed sites or excessively rich soils. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 10 years. This plant should only be grown in full sunlight. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution. This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid.

Common Name: Autumn Stonecrop This selection is very similar to 'Autumn Joy', but was selected for its tighter growth habit, thicker foliage, and more brightly colored rosy flowers which are produced from late summer into fall. It was developed in Quebec. Tall, upright sedums form substantial clumps of foliage which can be substituted for shrubs in the landscape. Their stout, sturdy stems support the massive flower heads which develop in summer and burst into bloom in fall. If left standing, they provide winter interest and food for birds.

Peony 'Buckeye Belle' is a show-stopping plant for the border. ... When sunlight strikes, this peony is a jewel in the late-spring border. 'Buckeye Belle' is an American hybrid bred by Walter Mains in 1956 and, despite its age, it has just been awarded the 2009 American Peony Society Award for Landscape Merit. Quickly reaches 1½ to 2 ft. tall, 2 to 3 ft. wide.

Common Name: Spurge One of the most outstanding perennials in our trials! The unique variegated foliage of 'Ascot Rainbow' PP21401 is phenomenal and looked fantastic in our garden from spring through fall. It was selected by the Australian hybridizer for its highly ornamental variegated flowers (bracts) and foliage. Narrow, grey-green leaves have a striking yellow edge. The foliage is topped by clusters of variegated cream, lime, and green flowers (bracts) in spring. In the cooler months, the foliage at the ends of the stems becomes flushed with shades of red, pink, and orange. In our location near Lake Michigan where summer temperatures are a bit cooler, a bit of the pink coloring remained all summer long. We did not observe any reversion in our trials. Overwinters well in zone 5b with excellent drainage. This plant would make a fabulous specimen in a brightly colored patio container and will undoubtedly add flair to the garden. As an added bonus, it is highly heat and drought tolerant.

Sedum 'Plum Dazzled' is a new sedum sport from Dazzleberry and begins in spring with plum-colored foliage that forms a colorful groundcover mound only 8" tall and 18" wide. Giant 6-8" raspberry-colored flowerheads appear in late summer and are visible from over 200 feet away!
